Our editorial approach
Lifestyle Reviewer publishes independent UK lifestyle journalism. This page explains how we work, so readers know what to expect from anything they read on the site.
Accuracy and fact-checking
Every article goes through a research phase before writing. For product roundups and buying guides, we cross-reference manufacturer specifications, verified customer reviews and expert testing from established publications. For health, beauty and wellness pieces, we link to primary sources (academic studies, NHS guidance, manufacturer safety information) rather than paraphrasing other blogs.
Where a claim could affect a reader’s health or finances, we cite the source inline. If we can’t find a credible source for a claim, we don’t publish it.
Corrections
If a reader flags an error, or we spot one ourselves, we update the article and add a brief correction note at the bottom noting what changed and when. We don’t silently rewrite published content.

Independence and commercial relationships
Editorial decisions are separate from any commercial arrangements.
- We use affiliate links on some product roundups. These earn us a small commission if a reader buys through them at no cost to the reader. Affiliate links never influence which products we feature or how we rank them. See our affiliate disclosure for detail.
- Sponsored content is always clearly labelled as “Sponsored” at the top of the article and in the category tag. Sponsors do not get to approve editorial wording beyond factual accuracy about their own product.
- We do not accept payment in exchange for positive reviews.
How we review products
Our “Best X” and “Top Picks” articles are buying guides, not hands-on reviews unless explicitly stated. We research the market, shortlist products based on specs, expert consensus and user reviews, and recommend the best options for typical UK use cases and budgets.
Where we have hands-on tested a product, the article is clearly labelled “Review” and includes notes on how long we tested it and in what conditions. A full breakdown of our review process is on our How We Review page.
Product prices and availability are checked at publication and updated during periodic reviews, but prices can change – please verify before purchase.
Our stance on AI
We use AI as a research and drafting aid but every article is edited by a human before publication. AI is not a substitute for research, judgement or editorial voice – it’s a tool that helps us produce more content faster, not a replacement for editorial standards.
