Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data lifestylereviewer.com collects, why, and what rights you have over it. It was last updated on 7 July 2026.

Who we are

Lifestyle Reviewer is a UK lifestyle publication. Our website address is https://www.lifestylereviewer.com. You can contact us through our contact page.

Comments

When you leave a comment we collect the data shown in the comments form (name, email address and the comment itself), plus your IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection. Comments are checked through the Akismet anti-spam service; you can read the Automattic privacy policy for details of how that service handles data. An anonymised string created from your email address may be provided to the Gravatar service to check whether you have a profile picture there. Your email address is never published.

Analytics

We use Jetpack site statistics to understand aggregate traffic to the site. This records page views, referrers and approximate location at a country level. We do not build individual visitor profiles and we do not sell data to anyone.

Cookies

If you leave a comment you can opt in to cookies that save your name, email address and website so you do not have to fill in your details again. These last one year. Temporary cookies are also set to check whether your browser accepts cookies; these contain no personal data and are discarded when you close your browser.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles may include embedded content such as videos, images or social media posts. Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if you had visited that website, and those sites may collect data about you, use cookies and monitor your interaction with the embedded content.

How long we retain your data

Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely so that follow-up comments can be recognised and approved automatically. Spam comments are deleted.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, and you can ask us to erase it (except data we must keep for administrative, legal or security purposes). To make a request, use our contact page. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Where your data goes

Visitor comments may be checked through the automated spam detection services described above. We do not otherwise share your personal data with third parties.
